Postal Membership – Update (March 2023)

Dear Members (New, Existing & Prospective),

It has been brought to our attention that there may be some confusion in relation to the operation of our Postal Membership, and so, as a Committee, we wanted to provide a brief announcement as an update.

The Postal Membership is still very much in operation, albeit, at a reduced capacity. This is purely due to the limited human resources we have available within Depression UK at this present time.

We do not envisage this being a permanent adjustment, but until we have the capacity the operate the Postal Membership in full swing, we encourage all new members (where possible) to join via Email Membership, to begin with. Should Email Membership not be an option, as we are aware that for some, postal is the only viable option, we can provide Postal Membership.

We are not purposely trying to reduce the number of Postal Membership offerings, nor are we trying to phase out Postal Membership, we are just at a reduced operational capacity across the Committee, and therefore having to share more roles & responsibilities than we can carry out efficiently.

Where Postal Membership is requested, the processes to do so and the services received are the same as they have always been, however, the turn-around time may be somewhat delayed.

We hope to resolve this temporary adjustment as soon as possible and ask for your understanding in the meantime.
